Sundar is described as a walking dictionary on banking technology, having spent the majority of his career at the forefront of Citi’s Global Consumer Technology division. From October 2017, he led the bank’s platform modernization as Chief Architect for Banking Products and Risk, and prior to this, as Head of Technology Solutions, Digital and API for Mexico and LATAM, and Head of Retail Banking Deployment For Asia, Europe and LATAM.

These roles enabled Sundar to oversee the evaluation and deployment of an inordinately wide range of banking products, from core banking and MDM solutions, to cards, wealth management and other product processors. He was instrumental in shaping the bank’s micro-services architecture and API transformation initiatives, and is credited for aligning the bank to the highest BIAN/ISO 20022 industry standards.

Sundar completed his postgraduate studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and is currently based in Jacksonville, Florida.
