DK is a widely respected global leader in information technology, having held various CIO positions for Citigroup’s international consumer businesses. Until May 2017, in his responsibility as CIO for LATMEX, DK led a large technology-enabled business transformation programme in Citi-Banamex in Mexico.

Prior to this, during his time as CIO for Citi’s International Regions from 2009 to 2015, DK was responsible for the simplification and modernization of consumer banking platforms in Asia and EMEA. He also spent two years heading Citigroup’s International Technology Organisation, and four years as Asia Pacific Head of Operation and Technology for Citibank Consumer Banking.

DK understands both the technical and organizational challenges of integrating technologies across multiple entities.  The principles driving his efforts are speed, simplification, transformation of the Customer Experience.

A graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and holder of an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, DK was recruited by Citi in 1989 to its prestigious MA programme.
